Hello,
At SCC we, meaning the developer doing the work and me inducing scope creep, are working on a program that will pull required rubric data in phase I, and then quiz/survey data in phase II. This is being done in .Net C#. If you would be interested in this when we knock out a few kinks, please let me know.
Basically, we pull a provisioning report for our course data and term data. Then we use an API call to offer a selection of terms and departments. The departments are three letter pnuemonics. Once a user selects the term desired and department they are given a list of courses. The user is able to select all, sum, or one course listed. This will bring a list of assignments available. The user selects the assignment(s) they want to pull data from and that data is put into a CSV. We have not finalized the format of the CSV file. We are also struggling a bit with the pagination issue, but we will get there.
Let me know if this interests you, or if you have already done something like this.
Thanks, Community.
If you are still working on this, I would love to see it. We do Spring Assessments every year and this may help me compile that data that is needed for that.
We are currently developing a Django/Python program that will pull all types of assessment data to include discussion responses and instructor comments.
Here is is a screen shot of our beta test.
Hi Boekenoogen,
Did this program ever move beyond the Beta? I'm interested in what it can do, especially with respect to Rubric data.
Thanks.
I am interested in being able to pull data from the rubrics of individual students so that I can see more clearly what has been mastered and what is not been mastered by my students as a whole. for instance being able to have a CSV file that shows each individual students and their score on the different criteria of a rubric wwould be an amazing tool. Currently the only way I know how to do this is involves creating my rubric outside of Canvas and using Google forms. This is great for me but limits students being able to see what their results are in my assessment. It also means that both myself and students have to go into two different programs to work with the rubric. This is quite frustrating since Canvas has a perfectly good rubric generator.... If only it was easy or capable of pulling student data to help push the curriculum.
