API Data to SQL Server Reporting Services

Has anyone used SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to pull API data from Canvas? Any tips on how to get started?

The first application I'm thinking of is for on-demand rubric analysis.

This doesn't directly answer your question - but the way I do this is with custom scheduled Python scripts that pull the data from the Canvas API and push them into a SQL table.

I set them up on a cron job that usually pulls data every few hours.
