Limit/Modify Teacher Registration

I just setup my own production-ready instance of CanvasLMS, thankfully all the roadblocks I had, I was able to deal with before ending up here. I was wondering if there was any way to limit the self registration options when enabling that feature for the account. 

I found that I would prefer for students, and I guess parents, would be fine to register; but would prefer for teachers and administrators to be granted their access at guidance level and only when told to do so. Is there a way to remove the option for teachers to register but keep the option for students and observers?

I don't think there is an out of the box way to limit self-registration to students and observers (you could limit to observers only though).  In practice, self-registration for teachers and students is really just creating their account for them though.  It doesn't give them any admin access or extra abilities in a regular Canvas instance from what I can see.  If you absolutely wanted to remove the teacher option for some reason, with the knowledge that it really functions just like the student button, you could probably do so through custom JavaScript/CSS attached to your theme.  I honestly would just leave things as they are just for simplicity sake though.
