Connecting Commons to my Canvas Dashboard

I was provided a link to a Commons set of resources. I am a teacher and originally started a Canvas account for an online class I took.

How can I find the details necessary for reach out to my Customer Cussess Manager?

OHHHHH you mean the 'Commons' button located on the Global Navigation bar? Where the Dashboard and Account buttons are?

Yes, you have to have a teacher role in at least one course under that account to have access to see the 'Commons' link on the left.

If you still want access to it, you can create a Free-For Teacher account and import that course into one of your courses on the free account! That's only if that resource was shared with all canvas users publicly, and not just within your school.

I am not sure I understand your question.  Are you wanting to use that resource, Concentrator Welding Course (which is a full Canvas course), in your own Canvas environment?  Are you wanting to import all that content into your own courses?  I'm not sure what you mean by "find the details necessary for reach out to my Customer Success Manager".  Could you please help to clarify that?  Looking forward to hearing back from you soon.

The content was created by a student teacher graduation from college. He provided it to other teachers that also teach Ag Mechanics and Welding programs through Canvas Commons. I wanted to be able to use, view and potentially download that content if it would also be aplicable in my classroom. That was the intended purpose for sharing the link.

My problem is that I cannot do any of that because Commons is not accessible through my Canvas Account. My account was first created as a student account with a local Community College 3-4 years ago and does not have any links to a "Commons" account after I log in.

Ah...I see.  If you have access to courses in Canvas only as a student, you will not be able to access Canvas Commons.  The second bullet point under the heading "Notes" within the light blue box at the top of this Guide describes who has access to Commons.  How do I use Commons? - Instructure Community - 1795 (canvaslms.com)  Students are not part of this list, unfortunately.  You'll need to work with your school's Canvas administrator to figure out how best for you to get access to Canvas Commons.

In addition to the information @Chris_Hofer provided you, which I highly recommend you check out if you haven't yet prior to reading this message, if this is something that has to do with your school that you are a teacher at itself, it's probably best that you reach out to your school's I.T. department for more information, as they would be able to give you the best information about what is needed.

I understand you're looking for "details", and while I don't know what those details necessarily are, if you need to view details as in what that commons resource is in more detail, you can click on the title of the resource card inside commons and preview it. You can also click the 'Details' tab which is located beneath the title of that resource once you open it, and there you can see the name of who shared that resource, as well as what grade levels it's intended for, including the school(s) or organization(s) that resource is shared with.

When I created the Canvas Account I was enrolled as a student 3-4 years ago in a Community College course. The IT department isn't worried about my access to the account at this time. I am looking to access the Import/Download button that is found when clicking on the link and it says I need to have an account. I obvisosly have an account, but cannot access commons. There is no button on my dashboard.
