Has anyone else noticed a delay in Catalog showing that a course has been completed? The delay is between the time when a student completes all the requirements a course and the time when Catalog shows that they have completed. We have been noticing a delay of 2-3 hours or more for about the last month.
The students in our biggest course are very frustrated with this! They are divorcing parents taking the course so they can give the certificate to a judge so they can get custody of their kids. So if this is going to be ongoing, I will need to manage their expectations.
This is what I heard from Canvas Support: Depending on how many active jobs are running
within an instance at a given time, a delay could occur with some
actions such as when a user fully completes a course. We commonly
suggest that users wait at least 24 hours if you are noticing missing
data within your instance. That said if the data is still missing
after this time, we do ask that you reach out to support so we can
assist further.
