Building Blocks of a Digital Credentialing Program Webinar
Building a credentialing program can have many layers, especially at the earlier stages of planning. Like with most academic initiatives, ensuring you have all the necessary resources, buy-in, and pieces to be successful is an integral part of your overall strategy. During our presentation, our Canvas team will help lay the foundation for the core building blocks of developing an effective credentialing initiative at your institution. We will also provide a slate of different services, highlight best practices, and share tips from institutions that have successfully launched badging initiatives across their campus environments.
Badging and Credentialing: The Universal Language of the Future
A shift in upskilling and reskilling is imperative to match the labor demand of the coming era, not only for organizations but for academia preparing the future of the workforce. Learn how badging and credentialing can help organizations and job-seekers create a universal language for upskilling and reskilling to help identify and close skills gaps.
Using Digital Badges for Student Recruitment
Does your badging program connect learners to your organization? Here are some ways you can make that happen:
- Brand it. Ensure your badge images are a good representation of your organization and the program.
- Link from it. Use links in the Earning Criteria or Custom Field in your badges to point to your Catalog, a program description page,
- Link from your website to the public view of your Canvas Credentials Organization. Make sure it has a white label, so your Organization page carries your brand, too!
- Display your Pathways on your website. Grab a screenshot of the public view of a Pathway, use the “Share Pathway” link to connect the screenshot to the live view. Click the pathway below to see how this would work!
So how do you connect your badges with your badging program? We’d love to hear about it. Contact us at credentialscsmteam@instructure.com to share your thoughts and learn more.
Next month we’ll share pro tips for using digital badges micro-credentialing!
