Will changing points possible eliminate comments on a submission?

Hi, 

We have an assignment that was accidentally assigned too many points. Basically, the assignment was supposed to be out of 10 points with a potential 3 bonus points and so the possible points were listed as 13, not 10. This problem was discovered after some of the assignments already received comments and a grade.  I have found another discussion post that says that if the possible points change, then all submissions need to be regraded. However, from that post it is unclear what happens to the comments on the already graded assignments. Will all of the comments need to be resubmitted?

I'm having a similar issue, will all the grades disappear if I alter how many points the assignment is out of?
