Using Outcomes for BTECs

Has anyone had a try at using Outcomes to create rubrics for BTEC assessments?

Is it possible to make it work, or is it too tied in to canvas' numerical system to be of use?  What I mean by that is I don't want it to generate an amalgamated score at the end, just to show whether they have reached the various points on the rubric. For example taking each of the criteria from here and having the ability to tick off that each one has been reached individually.

Or would it need to be set up to be separate rubrics which would look like 

A.P1 Complete/ A.P1 Incomplete

A.P2 Complete/ A.P2 Incomplete etc.

@stephen_taylor  did you manage to get anything sorted for BTEC outcomes?  I'm trying to get my head around them for our college and would love to hear from you!
