Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
Hello All,
We are a K-13 school in New Zealand and are in our 2nd term of Canvas adoption. We have taken a staged roll out approach – which seems to have worked for us. Our teachers are now at a point where they are feeling more comfortable using Canvas and would really like to get feedback from students on their experience with Canvas, feedback on course design and in general what we might do to make the learning better for them.
Does anyone have such a survey they would be willing to share that we could update for our context (we have students from Year 4 – Year 13 using Canvas)?
I will definitely share back any updates we make to the survey and any results we receive.
I did also post in the K-12 group.
Warm Regards,
Sara
Hi my beautiful old friend!
I don't have such a survey, but I still wanted to stop and say, "Thank you!" Thank you for considering your students, and thank you for using your students to inform your faculty on course designs that best engage students and help them succeed!
What a great idea, and I will keep my eyes open for any examples.
Kelley
Hello Kelley!
So good to hear from you. I see your wisdom all over the forum and smile at your wisdom. And humour. Please do keep your eye out. Maybe post a message to the former ELC list-serv for me as well?
Hope all is well with you!
Hi again, sarafriz !
I shared your question with the ELC! Hopefully some good stuff will come your way!
Kelley
Hey Kelley and Sara!
I hate to hijack the topic (but will do so anyway). We are trying to give away 10k in college scholarships to high school kids willing to make videos about how getting an education will impact their lives. Trouble is we just aren't getting any submissions. Do you have channels like ELC or people in your networks that you could try to pull in?
More info:
Hi @scottdennis
Rats, I shared this with the ELC (and our own HS) when first announced, but it appears that it did not produce. I will happily do so again!

Resent notice - the whole notice rather than a link to the notice!
Hiya Scott!
I don't have the same network here as I did - but I can share with other schools I have contacts at. I can also also send out to my students. A question, is that 10K in $USD or how does that work for your international community? I will 100% admit - I have not read the T&C's on this.

That is a very comprehensive list of questions. Thank you for contributing it here. My only question is how much time do you anticipate it would take for a student to fill this out and how many of them would be willing to see it through?
Regards,

Kym!
Thank you SO very much! This is an amazing starting point for us. I will definitely take a look and adapt for our audience(s) and share back. Not sure how helpful they will be to you - given the differences in our institutions. But will happily share. Thank you again!
Warm Regards,
Sara
