Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
Is it possible to post grades for just one student? I have given an exam online. I don't want to reveal the marks to all of the students - it's against our policy unless the student formally requests an exam re-read. How do I reveal the grade and comments only to those who formally request an exam re-read?
Solved! Go to Solution.
I really don't see how this is a solution! It only works if I've only marked 1 student's assignment. This is absolutely useless!!! it also means that I can't test things as a test student without revealing the whole class's grades too.
Sorry for the frustration. I'm too tired to edit to make my feedback pleasant.
Howdy @barbmurck ,
Hope all is well. Thanks for your question. If you use your Manual Grade Posting Policy, then you can just post one student's grade if that is the only student you have graded.
How do I select a grade posting policy for an assignment in the Gradebook?
After you've enabled the grade posting policy to manual, and after you have graded that one student's assignment you'll want to post that grade.
How do I post grades for an assignment in the Gradebook?
If you look at the "Select Posting Option" section of that last page I listed, you'll see the options to reveal/post grades.
Hope this helps,

Thanks very much. I wish we did have the option to reveal a mark to just one student.

I agree that this is not a solution. Is there a work around or is the functionality just not there? If it's not, then is it on the roadmap? Is there a functionality request already made that we can upvote?
This solution doesn't address the original question of Posting results for just one student. We have enrolments all year round and their worksheets (new quizzes) take 8 months to complete and weeks to grade, we don't want our new sign-ups seeing half-graded work just so we can give feedback to others with might be near completion.
I really hope this gets traction or there is allready a solution i am missing because it would make useing the manul grading feature gold for all our users.
I agree that this isn't helpful, when several students have muted scores and I want to unmute just ONE of them. Apparently that is not possible.
