Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
I had a module on my home page and selected "Move Contents. . ." and now all of the content is gone. Is there a way to restore the contents of the module or find where it went?

HI @jbertlin Welcome to the Canvas Community.
This sounds unusual. Must be frustrating for you.
Perhaps try the undelete trick first https://community.canvaslms.com/groups/ccc/blog/2016/07/07/undelete
If that doesn't work check your modules list to see if the module is there. Hopefully it is, then you can re-link it to your home page.
Sing out if you need a hand.

The un-delete link above seems to be deleted. Any idea where it is now?
@VicKovacs ...
You might be looking for this link:
The link you tried above was an old URL from the old Canvas Community website, and prior to moving to the platform that the Community site runs on right now, some links did not migrate. Thankfully, I've been able to find a replacement for those that don't work...but not 100% of the time. Hope this link is helpful to you.
@VicKovacs the undelete trick is to add /undelete to your course URL.
So, school.instructure.com/courses/12345/undelete. This will show you the last items you deleted and allow you to restore them.
Hope this helps!

That's an interesting trick. Thanks for clarifying the old link.
I've had some strange behaviors. I published a module at home, taught it at school on another computer, and looked at it again from home. All of a sudden a few days later it disappeared and parents were emailing that they couldn't see the content. I looked and no module for this class now! I opened a new window some time later and the module reappeared. I couldn't otherwise find it with the undelete trick. Something similar happened a few weeks ago.
After it happened the first time, I did a manual backup by copying what I had to a new class. I guess I can do that - after every class? What could have gone wrong to lose material - and then have it reappear (though in the first instance a few weeks ago it was lost)? Thanks.
