Imported Assignments Not Available to Add to Module

I have been having a problem that has never occurred before in my years of using Canvas.

I imported a course pack from a textbook publisher to utilize a few elements, such as quizzes, in my course. However, when trying to add one of these imported assignments, they are not listed in the "add item" menu (none of them) - only assignments I have created natively show up in the add item menu. 

Is this something others have experienced? 

Do you think it has to do with the course pack I uploaded?

The only workaround I can find is an extremely inefficient copy-and-paste method.

Hi  @mrobertson1  and welcome to the Community!  I haven't experienced this before but honestly do not import many assignments from publisher course packs.  Can you see the assignments from other places in Canvas (such as the Assignments or Quizzes tabs) or on the import page are there any errors listed?  Also, might you have attempted the import from a couple of different browsers to see is that makes a difference.  None of these may impact your issue.  You might try contacting your publisher contact directly as well.  In the past our institutional contacts has been fairly good about working with our faculty when trying to bring material in to Canvas from their platforms.

After importing the assignment, I do see it on the assignments page and on the quizzes page.  but when I go to add the assignment to the module, it does not appear in the drop-down menu as an option.  What am I missing?

Hello there, @khaskell1 ...

To be sure, when you are wanting to add a content item to your module via the "Modules" screen, are you checking both your "Assignments" and your "Quizzes" drop-down lists where you can select an existing item to add to your module?
