How do I handle new trimester set up for year long class?

We have trimester courses and at the start of the second trimester I can no longer see assignments in grades section, even though they are created as assignments.  How do I set the secondtrimester dates so I can grade these assignments I've put in place?

Hi Jeffrey,

At my school, we do semesters, and a new course shell is created in Canvas for all the course sections every semester.   It's possible that your school does something similar, so the second trimester courses actually get new course shells, but that's something you'd need to confirm with your school.

It's also possible that the course is set up to use Grading Periods instead.  This would allow the Gradebook to be automatically filtered to only show assignments from a particular time period.  There's a description of how to use Grading Periods, including filter the Gradebook by grading periods, athttps://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10006-4152465815
