Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
Is it possible to remove/turn off the feature that marks an assignment as missing or late?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hello there, @rrudd Thank You for posting your question. You'll want to check out this "Canvancement" (Canvas Enhancement) by @James called Removing Missing and Late Labels. This isn't a part of the core Canvas product, but James is very thorough in his directions, and he also includes a demonstration video near the bottom of his posting so you can see how it works. I hope this will help you, Rebecca.
Another idea is to remove the due date from the assignment.
Another solution is just don't use Canvas.
The system is eating up my time fixing this kind of useless default.
Can't find how to turn off this feature for the whole course, so I am spending time trying to find a simple description how to turn it off.
Hello!
Found this thread as I am trying to remove missing label from assignment efficiently...unfortunately the link that is placed in the solutions is 'not found'.... is there another link? Thanks!

So glad to see that this feature has been added to Speedgrader. It makes changing the status much easier. Thank you!
