Audio Thumbnail looks like a Generic Video

This was submitted as a feature request about a year ago and was archived, but I'd like to present it here:

The current audio file thumbnail looks like a generic video:

Instead of what happens when you press play:

Is there any way to have the above MP3 player be the "thumbnail" as well? I'm not a programmer, but this doesn't seem like something that would take too much backend work?

 @paul1 ​, I see that you're familiar with the now-archived feature idea about the audio icon, but I wonder if you've yet read the discussion that prompted it: Unfortunate Audio Icon Needs Replacing  I don't think anyone ever came up with a solution, but if there is one, I'll be one of the first to implement it!

Yes - I saw that one as well, and unfortunately, nothing came of it either, so after speaking with Casey, he recommended I open this up again. Fingers crossed!
