Assignments are not visible in gradebook

A colleague mentioned the following: he made several assignments but these are no longer visible in the gradebook. A few days ago this was still the case. When he makes an export he does get to see all the assignments and grades. NB. Grade posting policy is set as automatically  post grades. How can he get the assignments (and grades) back into the gradebook?

Hello Kirsten,

I think the assignments only show if they are published, so that might be a check you want  to do first (as soon as I unpublish an assignment it disappears from the gradebook).

Thanks for your answer, we found out that we have grading periods in our institution so we have to put a due-date  otherwise teachers don't see assignments in their gradebook!
