[ARCHIVED] retrieve student work after a student has been kicked off a timed task

Hello everyone,

Ise t my students a timed task in assignments that was an extended response. Two of my students ran out of time and so were kicked out of the task before they were able save/submit their work. When I go into speed grader of course there is nothing there for me to mark. Is there any way that I can retrieve what they had managed to do before the timer kicked them out?

Hello,

If you were doing a "text entry" submission type - the contents are gone. 

In the future, I would suggest having the students complete work on a Google/Word doc first and then copy/paste into the text entry before the time expires.

That way, if there is a hiccup or mistake, it isn't lost.
