[ARCHIVED] impossible to log in and out of different accounts without needing to restart computer

I have FOUR children who attend Manatee Academy in St. Lucie County schools in Florida so being able to successfully log in and out of four different children's accounts with the Canvas infrastructure is important. The fact that I am not able to do this with ease is creating a lot of unnecessary energy and time wasted. The only way I've discovered so far to be able to log into another child's account is to do a COMPLETE computer shutdown/restart.
Every time that I try to switch accounts and click on the 'account' button, and then the 'logout' button, I am met with an error message. This causes me to need to do an entire reboot of the computer and start from the beginning. This is incredibly frustrating. Attached is the error screenshot I see every time. Any solutions?
