[ARCHIVED] how can announcements be auto sent to student emails when the announcement is posted?

In previous version of Canvas, announcements would simultaneously go to students email account.  How can I make that happen in One Canvas?

Hi, @MaryBeck , I'm not aware that this has ever been a feature in Canvas, as students configure their own notification preferences. We have a feature idea requesting the ability on the part of instructors to override students' notification settings such that announcement notifications are sent out immediately regardless of what preferences the student has set:  Email Announcements - Instructure Community
