[ARCHIVED] Why is my photo not uploading correctly?

I have tried multiple formats to upload a photo from my computer to my canvas profile. When I upload the image, on the profile page the circle turns all white, and on the account page the circle has a rectangle in it. Im not sure how to fix this problem as I have tried refreshing the page, trying different formats, and even using a screenshot of the image and nothing worked.

Hi  @kes0321  Welcome to the Canvas Community.

Some institutions do not allow profile photos, ours is one of them. Perhaps that is the case with yours?

Hi, Kaitlin,

This sounds like the image itself is not rendering correctly on the backend of Canvas—it isn't anything that you are doing. You could also try logging into Canvas using another browser and see if you are able to see a difference, or clear your browser cache?
