[ARCHIVED] Unnecessary spaces in names (data from cURL)

When I get a list of users in JSON form, there are many unnecessary spaces between/after the names. For instance:

{"id":26611,"name":"John         Smith                         ","created_at":"2018-11-16T16:00:06-05:00","sortable_name":"Smith                         , John        ","short_name":"Smith         John                         ","sis_user_id":"231314","integration_id":null,"login_id":"a4","email":"js@aaa.edu"}

I have changed the names to John Smith and changed the email address. I did not touch the spaces. As you can see: there are many spaces in the name fields.

These spaces will also show in the title of the emails that students send to me.

Not all names have these spaces. But many have them.

Can you remove the spaces?
