When I signed up for the free Canvas account, I think I signed up as a teacher and not a student. I am a Nursing Instructor and I thought it was asking what my "job title" was so I put "teacher." Now I am not sure I have the right Canvas account. The class I am taking starts today 9-25-2020.

Your role in a course depends on how you were enrolled. There's a chance that your course isn't available yet. Each instructor needs to have their course published before students can participate. Can you check your available courses?

If you don't see your course listed there, I'd reach out to your instructor or your institution for help. How do I get help with Canvas as a student?
