I am trying to upload my dissertation but it is not allowing me to submit. It says 'Excused' by the submission button. What does this mean?

Good afternoon,  @b_rogers_16  Welcome to the Canvas Community.  Thank for your question.  The "Excused" label is something that your instructor would have put on your assignment for one reason or another (or maybe it was mistakenly put on there).  This is really a question that you'll need to ask your instructor about.  We here in the Community (now more than 576,000 of us) don't have access to your school's Canvas environment or your course(s) in question.  You can contact your instructor directly by following the information in this Guide: How do I get help with Canvas as a student?‌.  Also, here are the Guides that an instructor would use to learn how to excuse an assignment for a student:
