[ARCHIVED] Submission failure in Student App

One of our instructors is having various students have an issue with submitting through the Student App. When they submit, they get the message that it was submitted successfully, but the rest of the info on the screen does not indicate that. At first, we assumed the kid had doctored the screenshot, to be honest. You can see that screenshot here. But, now there are various kids having the same issue. They get the successful submission message while the screen shows no submission date/time, and no attempts used. Both of those show in a normal submission screen, an example of that is here.
Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips?

The was an update to the Canvas Student app for iOS recently (v6.9.8) which mentioned solving submissions issues. Can you see if this solves the app issue? Thanks!
