Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
Hi!
A lot of our students experience trouble when uploading films in assignments. The page just keeps on loading, and the film never seems to get handed in. However, they have no problems uploading the films using wetransfer.com and sending it to my e-mail. We only have distance education, so their internet connectivity may vary, but since they can send the files to my e-mail but not upload it onto Canvas, it seems like there is something within Canvas that isn't working as well as it could.
Is this issue something that other schools have trouble with as well? What can we do to help the students that are having this issue?
Have a nice day!

@rebecca_asker , greetings! My recommendation for something like this is to contact Canvas Support to see if they can assist. They will want to know names of students who tried to submit in Canvas and weren't able to, as well as the specific assignments, etc.
To contact them, click on the Help link and "Report a Problem."

@rebecca_asker , greetings! Depending on the size of the films, it could be that they are too large to upload directly to Canvas. On the following guide - https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10668-421254356 - it says that that "Canvas will not accept media uploads larger than 500MB."
Hope this helps! Kona
Greetings Kona!
The films are of the right size and format. When they can't upload onto Canvas, they send the films to my e-mail, so I can tell that there is nothing "wrong" with the films.
