Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
I have recorded a few videos in Studio in the past couple of weeks using my mac webcam. Videos recorded in Zoom are fine. The ones I imported from Zoom are fine. The ones in Studio have no audio. I've tried every solution I could find in this community.

Hello there, @JeanneWilson and @kashbey ...
I am sorry to read that you aren't getting the audio to work in your videos within your Studio library. Unfortunately, the vast majority of Canvas Community members don't have access to your school's Canvas environment or your course(s) in question. So, it's a little difficult to help troubleshoot this issue. However, I would highly recommend that you reach out to the Canvas Help Desk. They would be able to log into your school's Canvas environment and take a look at what you are doing to see if they can spot anything on their end that would be out-of-sorts. Here is a Guide that should be of help: How do I contact Canvas Support? - Instructure Community. If and when you are able to get this resolved with the Support folks, please come back to post an update here so that we can learn more about how this was fixed for you. I hope this will be of some help. Take care...
I am so sorry no one has replied to your question. I have the same problem, and the only other suggestion I found in the help section was to let the videos process longer - like overnight. This is not my issue and the solution seemed insulting as well as insufficient. I hope this issue gets addressed.
I recorded 25 videos before finding out there was no audio 😞
Time is definitely not the answer because almost all my videos were recorded a week ago.
Now I need to go back and do them all but I can't until i find out what the problem is.
Waiting to hear back from tech support.
Have you heard anything? I'm having the same issue with Screen Recorder (no sound).
Zoom, Loom, Quicktime all work fine.

6 months later and no solution? I'm asking my students to use Studio but *I* can't get it to work properly.
Sound works everywhere, and I've tried different sources such as the built-in and my earbuds. Nothing on Canvas. Zoom and everything else works just fine.
Hey there, @jcason1 ...
Have you reached out to Canvas Support to see if they might have any suggestions for you to try?

Canvas Studio's desktop screencasting app/software is basically a white boxed version of Screencastomatic. According to their website, your Mac's audio format setup must be set to 44100.0Hz for the USB microphone.
As a workaround nay replacement for this software, I've found Loom to work quite well as an alternative for asynchronous audio/video items. Now that it has transcription, I'll simply embed the video in my Canvas pages/assignments and it works pretty well.
