[ARCHIVED] Moving from Blackboard to Canvas: How long did you keep Bb?

We are beginning our Blackboard to Canvas transition soon and one question that has come up is how long we should keep Blackboard after the transition is complete. I can see needing access to a Blackboard environment for the purpose of pulling course archives and accessing courses that were not part of the transition.

How long did you keep Blackboard after your LMS transition was complete?

Hi @matthew_west 

We kept Bb for one full year so that all past academic terms were covered. However, we only made it available to our faculty for 6 months. After six months, if they needed content they had to ask us (eLearning Department). They got our lecture, then they got their content.
