Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
We are new to Canvas, thus new to utilizing LTI tools. I added the MyLabs App to our HS. I went in as an AP Teacher who uses Pearson MyLabs and enabled the app in the navigation area. When you click on it, it asks for permission to link the account to Pearson (which I expected), but when it comes up, the page is just a generic webpage and none of the link work. Do they have to be logged into the external tool first, then use the app from Canvas? I'm not sure what is supposed to happen.
Hi @lhenson ...
Have you seen this video? It might help with the setup of the "MyLabs and Mastering" button in your course.
Hey @lhenson , we use the Mylabs and Mastering LTI from Pearson. The most common problem for people thinking those links "don't work" is that their browser is blocking pop-ups. Here are the instructions for allowing pop-ups from a specific site (your Canvas instance) in Chrome:
You can change this setting anytime by following the steps above, then unchecking "Always show pop-ups from [site]."
Also, Pearson has some pretty good documentation for faculty to use to assist students in the process of registering for a Mylabs and Mastering product from the Canvas integration at the following link:
Register for MyLab & Mastering for Blackboard Learn, Canvas Desire2Learn, or Moodle
