[ARCHIVED] Is there a way to use the "Direct Share" feature and only have courses appear for the current term?

Teachers at my school were quite pleased to learn about the new Direct Share feature.  However, one teacher reported to me that when she chose to share content to another course, her courses from many different years appeared.  She just wants to share content to a course in the current term.  Is there a way to enable that only courses from the current term appear?

We have gone through similar challenges at our institution, rpsimon‌ - in addition to features of Canvas such as Direct Share, we find there are many integrations out there that don't bother to pull the term information for a course. We ended up adding the term to course names recently, but I totally empathize with your challenge! Before changing our default course name convention to include the term (via our custom SIS integration), we in past had changed individual course names as one-offs for instructors who ran into these types of problems.

Yup, that's exactly what I did.  I would keep one tab open with the name of the correct course displaying the correct SIS ID information and another tab open to import it.  I would just copy/paste the correct SIS ID in the field to ensure that I am selecting to correct course.
