Is there a way to live-stream a lecture using Canvas? We are going remote because of the coronavirus.

Hi Michele,

Yes, you have a lot of options actually.  If your goal is to make a recording via the camera on your computer my advice would be to start with the rich content editor.  You can read more about this in https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-13057-how-do-i-record-a-video-using-the-rich-content-editor...

Thanks. I was hoping to live-stream. I think I'll have to try Facebook or

Youtube, although I expect both may face major overload issues in the

coming weeks.

You actually have several options for livestreaming in Canvas as well

Sounds like you are in the same boat I am in.

I teach biology in Virginia, and hopefully I van get this to work too.

It is interesting that adversity opens up opportunities - 65 million years ago, the dinosaurs had a really bad day when the asteroid hit.  But it opened up room for mammals to expand.   Probably works in economics as well.

Thanks Alan, I'll keep that in mind. Unfortunately the economic boom was

already on its last legs, so this will take a chunk out of the economy.

After it's over, there will be some pent-up demand for restaurants, etc.,

but many small businesses will be out of business. Staying tuned, and

hoping we find ways to be generous to those who can't pay their bills since

they were not able to work.
