Is there a way to do this? I know I can "view as a student" and use "test student." That is not what I'm talking about. I want to be a fake student for lack of better term. When I use student view or test student I receive a message that I don't have access while masquerading. I'm a high school English Teacher and I really want to have that experience.

@Stephde Whether or not you are able to do this depends on what permissions your school has enabled and whether they have an extra layer of authentication for students. When I was teaching, my school created a limited number of fake students that instructors could use for this purpose, but not every school allows this. Check with your local Canvas admin to see if they will accommodate this.

There is a way. You would have to ask your Canvas administrators to create a second user account for you using a different email address, then have that user enrolled in your course as a student.
