[ARCHIVED] I can't log in to Canvas.

I am helping another student. Canvas doesn't recognize  ID number. Fail login message. Able to  login to Viking portal. Should I  recreate an account for Canvas?

This would be a question that you need to ask someone at your school...such as a local Canvas administrator or someone from your school's Online Learning/eLearning department.  We here in the Canvas Community would not be able to assist with a question like this because we do not have access to your school's Canvas environment or the course(s) in it.  Hopefully, someone at your school will be able to help you and the other student with getting logged in to Canvas.  Good luck!
