I'm actually glad you asked, so thank you. 

A lot in all of our worlds is changing very quickly right now.  The ways that people are using Canvas are changing as well and that means our roadmap will change to meet the needs of people as they are now and in the future as opposed what we thought those needs would be a few months or even weeks ago.  It is too early to tell yet how the roadmap will change but we know that it will.  The acquisition of Instructure has not and will not change our strategy in any way except that it means we are even more free to make decisions for Canvas based on the needs of the people using it.

If I may be so bold, I’d like to make a suggestion. 

In reading the new posts on older idea backlogs, there are people upset. This might be an opportunity for a developer sprint. Set the developers loose on new quizzes and do a survey to see what customers want — by priorities. This is much like what happened in the previous summer. It was awesome to see movement. 

It’s challenging to work through older code but new quizzes is still a newborn baby. Let’s shape it with a sprint. Focus in one area and push it forward. It might develop some good will, too. 

It’s just a thought.

If you want to see the things we currently have under development go to https://community.canvaslms.com/community/ideas If you are no stranger to that page you might notice that compared to the usual number of things listed, our engineers are currently in overdrive mode.  Many have worked nights and weekends, mainly focused on rounding a few of the rough edges for the massive influx of teachers and learners all trying to move online quickly, many for the first time ever.  

Don't get me wrong, there are many good ideas in the backlog that people have been asking for for a long time.  But its also true that we can't build all the things people ask for, even all the highest voted things sometimes.  Also, it isn't a first in, first developed process which I know can be super frustrating for people who have been waiting for years.  But please trust me that we are aware of them and will keep each of them open for consideration.
