[ARCHIVED] How to send an email to students--keep getting "invalid recipients"

When I compose and attempt to send an e-mail to all students --I keep getting message --"invalid recipients".   I've tried numerous times.  HELP.

Hi  @jitneygirl  and welcome to the community!  I was checking previous questions and ran into this one in which someone had a similar issue, "Recipients Invalid" response when using "message students who" in Gradebook.  This individual indicated it was due to the course not being published.  Might that be what you are experiencing as well?
