[ARCHIVED] How to see Commons icon if missing from account

I have a couple new teachers that do not see the Commons icon in the left side menu - has anyone had this happen and is there a way to get those teachers into the Commons site? They need to be added to a group for their department. Thanks!

cbirdsong, greetings! Have these new teachers been added to a course in Canvas as a teacher? If not, then Canvas might not be recognizing them as teachers - and as such, they wouldn't have access to Commons. So the fix would be to add these teachers as a "teacher" to a course in Canvas.
