[ARCHIVED] How to restrict assignment submission time?

Hi everyone,

I am looking at the function that can allow the students to see the assignment content but not allowing them to put in submission until certain time. 

Is there any similar function?

I have tried the available period, however, the assignment content was hidden to students.

Hi Elaine,

You are correct in that setting the start time for availability also blocks the students from reading the instructions.

I have modules for assignments (spec/submission, FAQ, solutions etc.), so in order to stop submission before a certain time, I would make a standalone page with the specification/instructions, then an "assignment" with the required availability to accept submissions. The module could be locked until a certain time as well.
