Hello,
I have created an "Ungraded survey" in my Canvas course, as an instructor.
What I would like to do is make this survey compulsory to complete in order for a student to progress with the course. So I do not intend to give a specific grade for this survey, only to make it compulsory (so students that really do not wish to take part in that would need to opt-out).
Would that be possible? I have not been able to find any option within the Survey settings that enables that.
Many thanks in advance!

Hi @c_mironiuc
You can make an ungraded quiz a module requirement, and so I just tested this to make sure that ungraded surveys would also work in this function, and they do. This guide will get you there, How do I add requirements to a module?
However, Canvas does not include an opt-out feature, so all students would need to complete the survey before being able to move on. One way to work-round this might be to make the first item in the survey an opt-out question like, "I choose to opt out of this survey (true/false)." Then they could submit the survey without completing the rest of it.
I hope this helps,
Kelley
