We are looking to upgrade Big Blue Button in canvas to the premium subscription, however I can't find any links to pricing or information. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi Jana,

You'll probably need to speak with your Canvas CSM to get that information.  I'm guessing it's based on things like your current FTE, existing Canvas contract, any consortiums you might belong to, etc.,  but really your CSM will probably need to get you a quote.

We got a quote and it was crazy expensive for 1,000 students to be on simultaneously for one year.  Isn't Big Blue Button Premium open source?  So can you just install the software on a hosting provider and link it up with Canvas?  Is it correct that you just really need a hosting server?  That would save on yearly costs, right?
