When students have completed assignments after the due date, how do you know the assignment has been completed without having to go back in to each assignment?

Hi, Julie!

The Gradebook will show you the status of every submission for an assignment. When a student submits an assignment, it will show as an assignment icon in the Gradebook (see How do I use the icons and colors in the Gradebook? )

You can click the Gradebook cell and open SpeedGrader and grade the assignment appropriately.

Hi Erin,

Thank you for your response.  However, I understand using gradebook and icons.  What I want to know is if there is a way to show when students turn in submissions after it was marked as missing without having to go back to each assignment with speedgrader an check.  If they do not email me informing me that they turned in the assignment after the due date, I will miss the submission.  I have my notifications to send me a daily email for submissions but it's still the same tedious process.  Do you know of any other way of being informed of "missing" assignments becoming "late submitted" assignments?
