Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
I'd like to set up a meeting in Zoom with Canvas. How is it done?

Hi, @dbey ,
There's a nice guide on "Zoom in Canvas" available here: https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-18604-zoom-in-canvas but as has been stated it's going to depend on whether or not your school purchased Zoom (from Zoom- Canvas doesn't sell it)
Hi, @dbey !
Does your school have a Zoom license or are you using the free zoom option?
Not sure. I'm waiting for the answer from the help desk. Is it an external tool?
Yes, zoom is a third party tool not controled by the folks at Canvas. If your school has zoom, a lot have the zoom integration installed. You could check from Settings -> Navigation to see if you have zoom available. If it doesn't show here, I believe the school has not set this up.
You can use the free zoom option (there is a time limit) and place the Zoom conference link in your course.

Thanks for responding Danny. My school district did not purchase it yet. I am hosting my first departmental meeting Monday. Going to wing it.
I have sent out invitations outside of Canvas in my free zoom account for now. Depending upon how this Pandemic unfurls, maybe the district will purchase. Not sure yet.
