Good afternoon,  @godfrey_marke  Welcome to the Canvas Community.  Thank you for posting your question.  Typically, withdrawing from a course is taken care of through your school's Registration department.  That way, they have record that you've withdrawn.  Then, your school would (hopefully) also take care of making sure you were withdrawn from the course inside of your school's Canvas environment so that it doesn't show up for you any more.  I hope this helps, Mark.  Good luck to you!
