[ARCHIVED] How do I share files with a specific few students?

I have a couple students with a disability that need to access recorded lectures of the course, but I don't want the rest of my class to have access to those videos. (Students with disabilities are required to sign agreements saying they won't share the videos.) Under files, I've listed the videos as only available to those with a link. Okay ... now how do I find the link?

One way to limit content access to a subset of students would be put them into a section and then make a module, etc that is viewable only by that section. You could also put the students and the videos into a group the rest of the students are not in.

All you need to do to get the link is click on the file. The URL of your browser is now the link to that file.

You can just send them the links to those files. It will be the safest option for only sharing files with a restricted number of people.
I usually do it this way: upload a file (or several files) to Fastupload.io, get a link to an encrypted file and then send it to the necessary people. This way, you secure your PC from all possible attacks and viruses. Also, it’s a fast way to send files up to 5GB weight across the internet. It might be problematic to send such large files when you use regular services. I recommend this one to everyone who needs to share files more often
