Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
Has anyone been using or know of a good web based (Chromebook) program that allows students to place music symbols onto a Drive document? This is for my music teachers.
Solved! Go to Solution.
We don't have an app or extension; but students can use Insert --> Special Characters. Set the first drop down to Symbol second drop down to Musical.

Perfect. Thank you for the information. I will see if that fills the bill.

Hi Randy,
I don't know if what you tried worked or not, but in my Band class we use Noteflight to do some composition units. You might be able to cut and paste from there if you need something more involved. As a music teacher, I have always found it frustrating not being able to input simple music notation into a word or google doc.
I hope this is helpful!
I need to know if I have google chrome? What can I do first?
This just came to my attention. You teachers might want to try this:
Free Technology for Teachers: Write Music in Google Documents
