[ARCHIVED] Emails to Parent Observers

Parent observers automatically receive emails that an assignment has been graded, but the grade and teacher comments are not included in the email. That would be extremely helpful so that parents do not have to go into Canvas and look in each course. Even when parents look for the grades, teacher comments do not appear so parents don't know if the teacher wants the student to resubmit or make an adjustment to the assignment.

Hi @sfrazie1 -

With your Observer account, you can adjust your notifications! You can get grade/score information included in the emails if you check the little box under Grades. Then, if you opt-in for Submission Comments emails, you'll get feedback for each assignment, directly in your inbox.

How do I set my Canvas notification preferences as an observer? 

If you want to see your student's submissions, you'll do that through the Grades page. You can see all kinds of information there, including the rubric, comments, and the work itself.
