[ARCHIVED] Decaying Average not calculating

I have set the outcomes calculation in my course to Decaying Average. 

In my test student, I have submitted multiple times and given a different score for each submission based off a rubric/outcome. While I can see each previous iteration of the assignment and score, which is nice. The final score is still just the most recent score. 

I don't understand what is missing? Shouldn't it be calculated via the decaying average of the previous scores?

Canvas doesn't honour multiple submissions of the same assignment. It counts each assignment as 1 assessment of the outcome and disregards previous attempts of the assignment. In other words, when a student resubmits an assignment and the teacher regrades it, the new grade for the resubmitted work overwrites the previous grade for the old work.
