I'm just starting with Canvas. I wanted to know if I create an assignment and add a link to a google drive document for students to open and fill out. Will the same link open a separate page for everyone to answer and fill out?

Hi Brenda,

If you just link to a google document it likely is going to take every student to the same copy and if they have edit access; they will all be editing the same file (filling out the same copy of the form).  It sounds like what you are wanting to do is create what is called a Cloud Assignment.  Check out this guide and see if it helps https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-13063-4152649160

I have tried this method but it doesn't work. On the student end it asks for authority.
