I have copied an announcement with a Microsoft Teams meeting link from one course to another. It shows up in both courses but only the original announcement has my picture and a date posted. The course I copied to does not. Does that mean it is not active or cannot be seen by the students?

Howdy @rradicke ,
Hope all is well. Thanks for sharing your question with us.
This is a feature of Canvas. Any time you copy announcements or discussions from one course to another, you will lose your picture and name [because perhaps in the second course, you're not the professor- you're just sharing your content with someone else]. If you edit one of those announcements, it will then say it was edited by you. However, the only way to have your picture/name on those announcements, is to create new announcements.
Hope that helps,
