How do I set up a Conferzoom for my students to use with me during my office hours?

Hi  @carterk2  have you looked at this document to see if Zoom is an option under the Conferences tab, How do I create a conference in a course? 

We do not have Zoom integrated into Canvas at our institution, so essentially if someone wants to use this for a meeting they need to put the meeting link someplace in Canvas that is accessible to the course participants.  I have heard, however, that in some instances Zoom can be used through the Conferences tab.

I see that there is ConferZoom on the left side when I have my course open in CANVAS. Is that the same as Zoom or is it different?

Hi  @carterk2  it looks like the answer may be yes and no.  According to this site, ConferZoom:

"This is a service for the administrators, staff and faculty of the California Community colleges system. ConferZoom is funded by a grant from the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office."

I hadn't heard of ConferZoom and it looks like it does have some relationship to Zoom itself.  The website above has a link to Guides and Support.  This is one of the articles I found under the Support link, Schedule and Join a ConferZoom Conference Call – CCCTechConnect 

Maybe this will help? I don't have ConferZoom so can't do much to test.

Are there instructions or a video to instruct students how to sign up for office hours set up with ConferZoom? The 'Student View' in Canvas does not work with Confer Zoom so I don't know what my students are seeing, and some of them are really confused.

Hi  @meezankaren , down a ways on this page, CCC Confer and ConferZoom Support – CCCTechConnect, there is a section of articles for both faculty and students on ConferZoom in Canvas.  You might look through the information designed for students.  My guess is that this would give you some idea of what students are supposed to see when accessing ConferZoom through Canvas.
