[ARCHIVED] Canvas is not changing due dates properly

When we update a due date on canvas (LTI to MyopenMath), it is not changing the original due date when  you get to the assignment.

Here is an example from one of my old shells. Here I changed the due date to Sep 1^st 2020:

 

It looks good here before I click on it:

Then when I click on test 2 it doesn’t take, it thinks it hasn’t been updated, it goes back to the original due date (past due):

Hi,  @jason_margolies . It looks like to me the date is changing properly in Canvas but the date has not been changed in MyOpenMath yet. Since these are two different systems it would not surprise me if you need to update the due date in both locations.

Thanks for the response. However, we have it set so that Canvas controls the dates and times for due dates no matter what myopnenmath has. This has never been an issue before.

Hey Jason. Can you explain more what you mean by "Canvas controls the dates and times for due dates no matter what MyOpenMath has"? Do you mean that the dates are supposed to change in MyOpenMath when you change them in Canvas? It has been several years since I was an admin working with that 3rd party publisher tool and the integration Pearson made for Canvas.

You may also want to reach out to Pearson support to see if they are able to suggest any troubleshooting steps to try.

I am having the same issue.  I change date in Canvas, but it will not open the MyOpenMath assignment because it says it is past due.
