I was wondering if there's any tool or feature that can be used to easily run split testing (or multivariate testing) within Canvas? Specifically test modules effectiveness between different groups of students.

Hello  @ronit_shaham  , and welcome to the Community.  Are you asking about data, or how to assign a test to students on variable days?

I would like to test 2 versions of a module or assignment on 2 groups of students. So one group gets one module and the other gets another. Ideally without creating 2 separate courses.

You'd have to create 2 modules and tell the students which module they are a part of.  The assignments are much easier!  At the bottom of the edit page, you can choose the students you want to give an assignment (or quiz) to, and not all of the students would get it.

I agree, this would be an exciting feature to add to canvas, particularly if analytics were included, as with many commercial services. We could learn so much about what works and what doesn't with A/B tests, even something as simple as which set of directions for a given assignment students interpret correctly.
